This group meets at 3 pm on Zoom every Thursday beginning Sept. 25. This “study” required no knowledge to begin with…except the ability to read a chapter before class (most of the time—we’ve all hit one of those weeks and let the others carry us that day). We respond to what touches us, makes us curious, and challenges previous certainties. We share what pushes us to grow and what realizations have surprised us.

This multi-congregation service will include choir anthems, congregational carols, and traditional Christmas scripture  accompanied by organ, brass, and handbells.

Free and open to the public. Parking is free to the public on Sundays.

PLEASE NOTE: Our elevator/lift broke down, and we are waiting on service parts. The sanctuary on Sunday will only be accessible by stairs.

The inspiration for this series comes from Mark A. Miller’s beautiful choral anthem, “I Believe.” The lyrics of the song are taken from a poem that was found written on a wall during World War II, believed to be written by a Jewish person in hiding:


I believe in the sun even when it’s not shining.
I believe in love even when I don’t feel it.
I believe in God even when He is silent. 

Each Sunday we will focus on the power of God’s love and healing, even when it is hard to see.

It's that time again! STROUDFEST, a local annual community festival will take place in Downtown Stroudsburg on Saturday, August 30. FPCS will sell hot dogs from our Amen Cafe from 11am-3pm. We're also happy for you to stop by if you need a break to sit, play a game, or use our restrooms!

This one-day event is for people of all ages--enjoy over 200 food and craft vendors, live music on multiple stages, and specialty shops and community organizations with special offers and displays. Come check it out and don't forget to visit FPCS!

On March 14, we will “break the fast” with a Ramadan (Iftar) dinner in our own fellowship hall. Our friends at the Chestnut Retreat Center practice Islam with a focus on serving others and building a world of peace. They will be bringing dinner and an understanding of the spiritual practices of Ramadan. We will bring our friendship and hospitality. Arrive by 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at sunset, 7:15 p.m.
